“YPT’s production of Annie was a marvelous combination of music and drama . . . performed by a host of talented kids . . . it was a most welcome way to spend an afternoon.”  (Lorton Valley Star, December 2002).  “A Little Princess is a packed house musical hit and another delightfully pleasing production from The Young People’s Theatre company . . . Who would expect kids to be so professional.  Again, as in past productions, this show is really worth the ticket.” (Lorton Valley Star, May 2004) "This is a delightful musical and the Young People's Theatre did a quite good job of it. That's no surprise. There's something about youthful abandon and exuberance that gives the production exceeding fervor. You get that they are having a great time and you do too from the audience."......."The Young People's Theatre group is a guaranteed entertainment bargain fit for the entire family. I love 'em a 'Bushel and a Peck' and look forward to their next production." (Lorton Valley Star, November 2006)

Young People’s Theatre was formed in 1994 to give students with an interest in acting and theatre a chance to polish their skills and showcase their talents.  Director Jeanne Forbes has produced more than 20 productions including musicals, comedies and melodramas.
